Dakota Creek Industries history is rooted in shipbuilding and ship repair going back to 1975 when we started building crab boats in a small shipyard in Blaine, Washington near Dakota Creek. Two years later, the shipyard expanded beyond its limits. On January 2, 1977, DCI opened for business at the Port of Anacortes on the Guemes Channel allowing DCI to build and repair larger vessels. Since that time, DCI has steadily grown into a shipyard well-known locally and nationally for its quality and craftsmanship. DCI continually updates and trains its employees on the latest technologies and equipment that ensures we remain at the cutting edge. Exciting new plans are in progress to further enhance the facilities and production.
